Bowker's Book Analysis System™ Help Pages
Tech Support Info: Multiple File Upload Can I process a file more than once? No, you can't and you'll never need to. The sequence of events for processing a file is something like this:
  1. Upload a file to BBAS.
  2. Go to the Bowker's Book Analysis System and request that the file be processed.
  3. To do this, you go to www.bowkersbookanalysis.com, click the Go To Book Analysis link, log in, click the Manage My Files button, click the Process File button, and follow the instructions for requesting that the file you uploaded be processed.
  4. The system processes the file and then changes the name of the file in the FTP server to reflect the fact that it has already been processed.
If you submit an additional request for the system to process the file you uploaded in the first step, the system will not find the file (because it renamed it in the last step) and will wait for you to upload the file again. When you submit a request for the system to process a file and you have not uploaded the file, the system will wait up to seven days for you to submit the file. If you haven't submitted the file within that period of time, the system will mark the request as stale and will eventually delete the request from the Manage My Files list.
